It was suggested to me by one of my favorite clients that I need to update my blog site more often! So, I thought I would use this down-time to do that (as I sit in the Albuquerque Sunport, waiting on my flight to leave to Salt Lake City...and it's already been delayed...twice).
I am on my way to SLC for a doTERRA Essential Oil *Empower* 2011 conference. Since I am so new to the oils, I thought this would be a fantastic opportunity to learn more, while getting for stay a few extra days and visit my family when it's over. My Uncle Bob, Aunt Lynda, and cousins Heather and Ryan are all there with their spouses and kiddo's. I haven't seen any of them in about 5 years, except for Uncle Bob because he makes a yearly pilgrimage to ABQ to visit his 94-year old mother (Nana).
I am so excited about this conference! I want to know everything there is to know about oils and how to use them more effectively in my Kinesiology practice. I am finding as I experiment with my Family Physician's Kit that oils are used for all SORTS of things! The kit I bought is a nice starter kit with oils that are safe and easy to use for almost every ailment.
Deep Blue: used it on my Mom, who was convinced she had a hip fracture, but I believe really has some muscle problems in her right hip. She called me specifically after I worked on her to tell me that the oil took the pain right away! Deep Blue is the essential oil and natural equivalent of something like BenGay. Mostly for muscle pain. She loves the stuff and I need to order a bottle just for her when I get back home!
Lavender: I put a drop under my nose before I go to bed for a nice, relaxing sleep!
Lemon: Just a drop or two in your water, and you not only have a great-tasting refreshing beverage, but also an 'internal cleanser' of sorts.
Frankincense: Used most commonly for relaxation and mood support...you can also use it for "mood enhancement" - NIIIIIIIICE!
DigestZen: I put a drop of this fantastic elixer on my tummy or my feet when I think I may have eaten something that could 'potentially' give me trouble later. And SHAZAM...no problems!
OnGuard: Boosts the immune system unlike synthetic alternatives! Oh yeah, and you can use it on countertops too!
I am looking forward to learning what else I can use them for...as soon as my plane leaves Albuquerque!
